Sunday Showdown June 12th, 2005
TNR Sunday Showdown kicked off with The Rapist coming
out to speak. He spoke about some of the wrestlers who had problems with the front office, and also said that since his opponent
didn't show this week, he was automatically entered into the finals for the World Title against Tristan at Sparking The Revolution!
The
first match of the night pitted J-Quik up against Hydro, who was making his official TNR debut. J-Quik eventually got the
pinfall victory after scoring the Quik-Stop.
Next up was Tony Dangerous taking on another man making his TNR debut,
Psycho Johnny. Despite an impressive debut, he took the loss after "The King of the World" pinned him after hitting a hurricanrana.
After
the match, Tony got on the mic and said that after seeing Axl's Asylum the previous week, he was inspired to have his own
segment, called the Throne Room, and his first guest would be none other than Axl Sito. After some questions, Tony said that
he was disgusted with the way that Sito won the PiW Championship from Joe Ryder, and issued a challenge for Axl's belt the
following week at the supercard! Axl then delivered a strong physical agreement to have the match by biting him, spanking
him, and dragging him around all over the place!
Jonny Fresh was then interviewed backstage and said that the results
would be different this week when he faced the Samoan Dragon, and also seemed very confident in taking Al Kohal's Underground
Title at Sparking The Revolution in the three way dance.
The second seeded Tristan came out next, with his sheet in
hand, and said that it didn't matter who his mystery opponent was, because he had already beaten everyone he had faced on
the TNR roster. The Rapist then came out to announce the mystery opponent, Tristan's old rival, Osko! However, Tristan was
able to survive the match and pick up the win after reversing Osko's Electric Chair Drop into the Impaler.
Showdown's
main event staged the Samoan Dragon against Jonny Fresh. Both competetors endured a grueling back and forth match, pulling
out all the stops, but since no fall was made after the 15 minute time limit was up, the match was considered a draw!
After
the show was over, the Samoan Dragon was interviewed backstage, where he talked about how Fresh has only beaten him once in
his career, and he thought he would be able to beat him. Like Fresh, Dragon appeared to show much confidence heading into
the Sparking The Revolution!
Sunday Showdown June 5th, 2005
In a dark match, Tristan defeated Hydro.
The Rapist kicked off TNR Sunday Showdown
with his State of The Next Revolution Address. He talked about silencing all the critics and naysayer that were against TNR
in the opening weeks, and said that he promised for TNR to prosper and become a great success.
The first match of the
day pitted the Underground Champ, Al Kohal, up against Jonny Fresh. With the ref knocked out, Al Kohal was going for the banned
curb-stomp, but Samoan Dragon came out to answer Al Kohal from last week, and gave him a vicious yakuza kick. Fresh then made
the cover and got the win.
Up next, Myzeri took on the Samoan Dragon, with Dragon getting the win after hitting the
Shining Wizard. After the match, Al Kohal came out to get revenge on Dragon, but it was Fresh that ended up laying both men
out. With all the chaos, a triple threat elimination match was then made for TNR's first supercard, Sparking The Revolution,
between Al Kohal, Samoan Dragon, and Jonny Fresh for the Underground Title!
After all of this, Myzeri was still in
the ring and challenged Tony Dangerous, who was supposed to be his original opponent. After coming back from taking a dump
at K-Mart, Tony came out and offered Myzeri a whopper, but this was not taken to kindly to, and Myzeri started off by beating
down on Dangerous. However, Tony picked up the win with the old clip-on tie trick again, and rolled up Myzeri for the three
count.
Next up was what we were all waiting for, Axl's Asylum! With his banishment from TNR lifted, Axl came out with
his very own stage. Axl then said that he wanted nothing to do with the TNR front office, or else there would be major
problems. Axl's guest of honor for the segment was none other than the final PiW Champ, Joe Ryder! After some questions, Joe
Ryder offered up a friendly challenge to Axl to defend his title, and out of respect, Axl accepted. Axl then defeated
Ryder for the PiW Title, and Ryder revealed that he was handing it over all along, and we were all set up!
Another
surprise for TNR, Morbid made his debut sooner than expected, and took on J-Quik in singles action. Both men battled hard,
but it was Morbid who picked up the victory in his first match at TNR.
The main event of the night was a World Title
tournament match, and had Tristan squaring off against The Rapist. Before the match, Tristan once again held that paper, and
claimed that it would be the demise of TNR. Both men hadn't lost yet in the tournament, so the winner would be in great shape
in claiming the World Title. At one point in the match, Tristan went for a diving head butt off the top, but Rapist countered
and hit the Cock-Smoker, and may had broke his nose in the process. Despite this, and losing a ton of blood, Tristan was able
to eventually hit that head butt off the top, and defeated The Rapist to move one step closer to claiming the TNR World Title!
Memorial Day Mayhem May 30th, 2005
The TNR Memorial Day Show kicked off with The Rapist coming out and explaining that
the World Title tournament would resume the following week, and that Ray Perez would be disqualified from it due to the fact
that he would not be at TNR for the day and for the week after. He also explained that the night's main event would be a seven-man
gauntlet match, and if the winner was a wrestler who wasn't in the tournament already, then he would take Ray's spot. However,
if the wrestler was someone already in the tournament, then he would receive an automatic spot in the finals. Tony Dangerous
then came out and said that he had a lot of respect for The Rapist, but he was going to have to beat him tonight. Rapist didn't
take too kindly to this, but Tony answered back by slapping him across the face before starting their match.
The Rapist
then defeated Tony Dangerous after hitting the Cock-Smoker.
Tristan came out for his match, but beforehand, he held
up a piece of paper and said that this would lead to the end of TNR!
Tristan defeated Donnie "The Ego" Brasco. The,
Tristan got back on the mic and stated how he was on such a roll that he could defeat anyone, and issued an open challenge.
Shockingly, Myzeri came out to accept!
Myzeri dominated most of the match, but was ultimately defeated by Tristan,
who was already 2-0 for the night.
Al Kohal came out for his match with Samoan Dragon, but first got on the mic and
spoke very negatively of the front office, because they forced him to wrestle in the pouring rain the week before, and continued
to make him wrestle this week even with a hurt shoulder.
Al Kohal went on to win a very violent non-title match against
the Samoan Dragon.
The returning Myzeri was then interviewed backstage and claimed that he was ready to dominate and
take over TNR, and promised that his first order of business was to become the very first TNR World Champion.
The last
match of the night was the gauntlet match. Tristan and Tony Dangerous started off the match, with Tristan getting the pin.
The Rapist, who was doing referee duty for the night, then announced Tristan's next opponent...which was Rapist himself, standing
behind him. He hit the Cock-Smoker and pinned Tristan. Ego came out next, who quickly defeated Rapist with the Ego-Trip. Ego
then took care of Myzeri with the move as well. Out next was Al Kohal. Al Kohal went to do the curb-stomp, but The Rapist
stopped him before he could do it, and banned the curb-stomp from TNR! Distracted by this, Al Kohal became another opponent
defeated by Ego in the tournament. Out last was the Samoan Dragon, who eventually pinned Ego after hitting a brutal Shining
Wizard. The Samoan Dragon will now be put in Ray Perez's place in the World Title tournament.
